At the start of your next initiative, list each major milestone and add four fields beside it: dependency, owner, needed by, confidence. Communication Patterns: Routing the Right Signal Across Teams

Cross-team communication works best when it is boring, regular, and specific. Most teams do not need more meetings. They need fewer surprises. That usually comes from lightweight, repeatable signals rather than large syncs where ten people listen and two people talk.

A practical pattern is to separate communication by purpose:

When a dependency slips, your first job is to make the impact visible. What moves? What can continue? What becomes optional? What decision now needs to be made? Teams recover faster when they shift from blame to pathfinding.
